Do not be alarmed, commercial videos on hip hop are considered hip hop content - is the Nas video "Hero" aired on MTV suddenly a "Pop" video because its on MTV, no.
Please note: without the advent of YouTube or other video sharing websites, it would be very difficult to know these videos exist. For the most part, the history of hip hop would be lost to those who control the mainstream media - and we know what path they're taking us down currently.

I always felt that the internet is one of tha most powerful ways to get the unfiltered information that is impossible to get anywhere else, it puts knowledge in the hands of the people and that where it needs to be.

Whoa....that video was a true portrayal of the Ol' school hip hop. Rhyming about what goes on in your community so that all can hear, and perhaps make a change for the better. Its true that videos like these are pushed to the back corner, to give the spotlight to these other music videos whose message @ times is clearly UNKNOWN
